【摘要】:Thermaldiffusivityisanimportantproperty,requiredforsuchpurposesundertransientheatflowconditions,suchasdesignapplications,determinationofsafeoperatingtemperature,processcontrol,andqualityassurance.Theflashmethodisusedtomeasurevaluesofthermaldiffusivity,x03B1;,ofawiderangeofsolidmaterials.Itisparticularlyadvantageousbecauseofsimplespecimengeometry,smallspecimensizerequirements,rapidityofmeasurementandeaseofhandling..Undercertainstrictconditions,specificheatcapacityofahomogeneousisotropicopaquesolidsamplecanbedeterminedwhenthemethodisusedinaquantitativefashion(seeAppendixX2).Thermaldiffusivityresults,togetherwithrelatedvaluesofspecificheatcapacity(Cp)anddensity(x03C1;)values,canbeusedinmanycasestoderivethermalconductivity(x03BB;),accordingtotherelationship:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthethermaldiffusivityofprimarilyhomogeneousisotropicsolidmaterials.Thermaldiffusivityvaluesrangingfrom10-7to10-3m2/saremeasurablebythistestmethodfromabout75to2800K.1.2ThistestmethodisamoredetailedformofTestMethodC714,havingapplicabilitytomuchwiderrangesofmaterials,applications,andtemperatures,withimprovedaccuracyofmeasurements.1.3Thistestmethodisintendedtoallowawidevarietyofapparatusdesigns.Itisnotpracticalinatestmethodofthistypetoestablishdetailsofconstructionandprocedurestocoverallcontingenciesthatmightofferdifficultiestoapersonwithoutpertinenttechnicalknowledge,ortostoporrestrictresearchanddevelopmentforimprovementsinthebasictechnique.1.4Thistestmethodisapplicabletothemeasurementsperformedonessentiallyfullydense(preferably,butlowporositywouldbeacceptable),homogeneeous,andisotropicsolidmaterialsthatareopaquetothespecimenofappliedenergypulse.Experiencehasshown,however,thatsomedeviationfromthesestrictguidelinescanbeaccommodatedwithcareandproperexperimentaldesign,substantiallybroadeningtheusefulnessofthemethod.1.5Thistestmethodcanbeconsideredanabsolute(orprimary)methodofmeasurement,sincenoreferencestandardsarerequired.Itisadvisabletousereferencematerialstoverifytheperformanceoftheinstrumentused.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.7Forsystemsemployinglasersaspowersources,itisimperativethatthesafetyrequirementbefullymet..1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
